The St. James Futsal Academy
The St. James Futsal Academy is led by Gus DONOLO, a leader in the training and development of youth futsal players and teams in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Coach Donolo directs all aspects of the Academy, which includes but is not limited to, the following:
- Promoting technical excellence and nurturing emerging talent through active participation and engagement in The St. James Futsal Academy's educational process;
- Engaging futsal coaches in regular and ongoing professional development opportunities; and
- Addressing the needs and goals of individual student-athletes by identifying strategies that develop players as people, athletes and leaders.
Player and team selection is based on performance and evaluation of candidates in each age group on a weekly basis with Coach Donolo and members of the technical staff.
TRAINING PROGRAMS
The St. James Center for Soccer Excellence offers Washington, DC area youth and adults the ultimate futsal experience. Futsal, which is one of the fastest growing sports globally, is a game that encourages improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces.
